A Guide for Inclusive Municipalities

This course intends to help citizens, organizations, municipal elected officials, and various other professionals understand the mandate of the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities. It provides information and practical advice about working with community stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate action plans to advance inclusion at the municipal level.

Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Create a structure in order to create a strong foundation for Coalition work;
  • Create a Plan of Action in order to create a strong foundation for Coalition work;
  • Recall some examples of stakeholder engagement from amongst the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities;
  • Implement relevant practices for welcoming newcomers in their own municipality;
  • Create a plan for measuring and reporting their Coalition work progress.
