Our Recent Projects

The Neighbourhood Organization

We work with The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) to conduct annual client surveys on program utilization, client experience, and outcomes. This includes evaluation support for programs such as the Worker Support Services Program for Temporary Foreign Workers and Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS).

For SWIS, our evaluation planning focuses on implementation quality, reach, newcomer student and family outcomes, school capacity, partnership functioning, and alignment with IRCC’s SWIS logic model. The evaluation plan is designed to support continuous program improvement, clear reporting, and shared learning across school contexts.

Digital Literacy and Learning Partnership Program

We supported evaluation of the Digital Literacy and Learning Partnership Program, a national initiative designed to improve digital literacy among newcomers and vulnerable populations, including seniors. Evaluation activities included participant surveys, confidence and skills measures, follow-up data collection, and outcome reporting.

The DLEP evaluation tracked indicators such as increased confidence using the internet and digital devices, improved digital skills, better understanding of the online environment, and increased day-to-day internet use following participation.

“ACS [Metropolis Institute] focused on program evaluation, providing essential survey data that guided the
ongoing development and improvement of the program.”

Anti-Racism, Mental Health, and Settlement Capacity

We have evaluated national training and capacity-building initiatives focused on anti-Asian racism, racial trauma, and mental health supports for settlement and community workers. One recent evaluation used community consultations, pre-training surveys, post-training surveys, and six-month follow-up surveys to assess changes in knowledge, confidence, skills, and awareness of anti-racism resources among frontline workers.
